Job Summary
As a Production Worker on the 2nd shift at Abbott Laboratories, you will play a key role in the manufacturing and packaging of high-quality healthcare products. You will operate machinery, perform quality checks, and ensure that production goals are met in a safe and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor production equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Perform routine quality inspections to ensure products meet specifications.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the production area.
- Accurately complete production documentation and logs.
- Follow all safety protocols and report any unsafe conditions or incidents.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production targets.
- Assist with line changeovers and equipment setups as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
- Ability to read and follow written instructions and SOPs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in a regulated industry (e.g., FDA, GMP).
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
