Seeking a Lab Technician to join a Food & Beverage company in Philadelphia, PA.
Job Summary:
The Lab Technician will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of products through rigorous testing and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). This role involves performing various quality control (QC) tests, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring that all instruments are properly calibrated and functioning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct QC testing on dairy products, including pH, BRIX, Gram staining, fat analysis, and other relevant tests.
- Pull production samples for testing and analysis.
- Calibrate and troubleshoot laboratory instruments to ensure accurate results.
- Adhere to all GMP standards and ensure compliance with safety and quality regulations.
- Complete and maintain accurate documentation of all testing and quality control activities.
- Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies and ensure that all necessary materials are available for testing.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Biology or a related scientific field.
- Experience in a laboratory setting, preferably within the food industry.
- Strong understanding of GMP standards and quality control procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
