Injection Mold Tooling Engineer

(12-18+ Month Contract)

📍 Location: San Diego, CA

We are seeking a skilled Injection Mold Tooling Engineer for a 12-18+ month contract in Oro Valley, AZ . This role involves designing and developing high-volume plastic injection molded tools using SolidWorks .

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and design plastic injection molded tools using SolidWorks
• Work with class 101 molds , typically 16 to 32 cavity tools
• Utilize various plastics for high-volume production (hundreds of thousands to millions of units per year)

Required Skills & Experience:

✔ SolidWorks proficiency

✔ Strong background in plastic injection molded tools – MUST

✔ Experience with both hard and soft tooling

✔ Class 101 mold experience (preferred)

✔ High-volume production expertise (a plus)

✔ Preferred Experience with tooling for – refrigerators, washing machines, dryers, televisions, etc.

✔ Automotive tooling experience may be considered , depending on parts/application
