Our client, a large corporation, has an opening for an In-House Intellectual Property Counsel (Patent Attorney) located at their key technology center in the Midwest United States. Position requires a minimum of 3 years of patent experience with a law firm or corporation. Company offers a generous base salary & annual bonus, full relocation program and superior benefits.
- Prepare and prosecute patent applications and manage outside counsel.
- Negotiate and draft a variety of intellectual property agreements.
- Counsel technology managers regarding patent & trademark issues.
- Assist in global IP strategy formulation for business unit.
- Render advice on possible IP infringement issues.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of intellectual property experience with a law firm or corporation.
- Technical background in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or related degree with Chemistry coursework.
- Registered to practice before USPTO and also a State Bar.
