Job Summary:
The HVAC Designer will be responsible for designing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for commercial buildings using AutoCAD. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical systems, local building codes, and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and draft HVAC systems for commercial projects using AutoCAD (Revit Occasionally)
- Develop detailed construction drawings, schematics, and layout plans.
- Perform load calculations and duct sizing using industry-standard software.
- Coordinate designs with architectural and structural plans.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
- Review project specifications and collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors.
- Conduct field surveys and site visits as needed.
- Revise and update drawings based on feedback and redlines.
- Maintain project documentation and drawing records.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Revit MEP or BIM modeling.
- Knowledge of energy modeling and LEED requirements.
- Professional certifications (e.g., LEED AP, NATE, or similar).
